With 98K miles on the original shocks, mine were due for replacement. Contact Us Anthony was great to work with, the order was processed promptly, and they had the best shipped price. I purchased these Megan Racing Coil Overs P/N: MR-CDK-HOD05 for my 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L RES NAV from Anthony at e-Auto E-auto. How is the ride? First impression compared with long term impression? Advantages? Disadvantages? Handling observations? Thanks in advance for any feedback. I would love to get some feedback from anyone who is running these on their Odyssey, particularly anyone with 16" to 18" wheels. I was ready purchase the PAX suspension, then I found these Megan coilovers and now I am excited about the possibilities. The PAX touring shocks and struts would be more firm and offer the highest dampening rate considering they were designed to tame the extra unsprung weight of the PAX wheels/tires that weigh 20-30 lbs each more than comparable size non-PAX wheels/tires. From everything I read, and talking to a custom suspension designer, the PAX touring springs would be the stiffest available to handle the extra sprung weight of the heaviest van Honda offers. The alternative for me was to install struts, shocks, springs and the larger front sway bar from a 2008-2010 Touring PAX combined with air lift 1000 bags in the rear. Another advantage of the Megan coilovers is serviceability the shocks or struts can be purchased separately for less than the entire assembly. From what I understand the suspension travel is supposed to remains the same with coilovers. Although I don't necessarily want to lower my van, the inevitable 1" drop resulting from using these coilovers should be acceptable, especially since the airbags can be used. Now my plan is to use the air lift 1000 bags with the rear Megan springs. This was welcome information, because I was concerned about towing with coilovers installed. He also indicated that the inside diameter of the Megan rear spring is the same as OEM so airbags can be used. I spoke with a rep at Megan today and he said the expected serviceable life is 60-80K miles. The ride characteristics he attributes to these coilovers is exactly what I am looking for. I read a very encouraging review from an individual on sienna chat who is running them on his 2011 Sienna XLE. I am very interested in purchasing these coilovers for my 2007 Odyssey EX-L. Thanks cape97 for all of your work and information. I dont sell them but I help out a friend of mine who owns E-Auto. cost of the coilover kit is $850 SHIPPED to all 48 states from E-Auto. if you guys are interested let me know and PM me because they're not going to last. I actually feel safer with them in it and the van being lower because the handling is phenomenal like it's on rails.Īnyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that the 1st batch was only 5 sets that came in today and 1 is already accounted for. I have my family in it and the ride is just as safe as it was when it was higher. Personally I've been on coilovers now for more than 1.5 yrs with my Sienna and though the ride is stiffer it's not like the ride is unbearable. The coils also have a 32 setting dampening adjustment to furthermore customize your ride the way you want it. With coilovers you can decide how low you want the van to go and so if you decide to not go too low then your ride wont be as stiff compared to someone almost dumped. But for those who want a more sportier, spirited ride then this is it. Unfortunately thats how Physics work and we know they're not made for everybody's liking. In any vehicle once you lower it's suspension travel, ride comfort WILL change and be more on the stiffer side. I know some of you guys have asked and wondered about the ride on these coilovers. I just wanted to let you guys know more info about the Odyssey Coilovers.
